He’s an evil manipulative sociopath who cheats on his wife and has literally murdered people.
But Frank Underwood would still make a better President than any of the current contenders.
A poll has revealed that Kevin Spacey’s fictional POTUS is a more popular choice for the White House than virtually all of the other five real life runners COMBINED.
The ongoing survey, taken by Virgin America, asked customers to vote between Republican hopefuls Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and John Kasich, and their Democratic rivals Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton.
But to make it an even three on three they added an extra Democrat – albeit fictional – candidate from the the Netflix political drama House Of Cards.
The three Republican candidates meanwhile barely have 12 per cent of the vote between them.
Donald Trump barely leads the stragglers with less than six per cent; John Kasich is just behind on four; while Ted Cruz is cruising at a very low altitude of just 2.5 per cent.
The airline took the poll as part of its official partnership with the Rock The Vote movement, which allows passengers to register to vote mid-flight.
‘Frank is a candidate who is not afraid to get his “hands dirty” or tell it like it is. He knows how to talk tough and he’s not afraid to be entertaining – nothing at ALL like the other candidates in this current election cycle,’ it claimed before pitching Underwood against the current candidates.
Spacey has played the former South Carolina Senator for four seasons now, with the most recent season arriving last month.
The 56-year-old has won a Golden Globe and SAG Award for the role, and has been nominated for an Emmy three years running.
